Trout University For Teens
Inspired by Mike Casey and under the leadership of Ron Fisher and Ron Hildebrand, MCFF is sponsoring a new youth education program this spring. Teens who are freshmen, sophomores, juniors or seniors enrolled in any of the area high schools, may apply for one of fifteen slots available for the spring session of the Teen Fly Fishing School that will formally be known as Trout University.

This course will focus on basic skills including fly casting techniques, knot tying, entomology (study of bugs), fly tying, safety, conservation and other related subjects. The course schedule includes three Saturdays in May, the15th, 22nd and 29th, a field trip to the Boulder River on July 10th, and a three day fishing session at Silver Gate Lodge and Yellowstone Park August 16-18. The total cost per student is $50.00 with scholarships available to those who cannot afford the fee. This fee covers all equipment including rods, reels, line and flies and all transportation and lodging expenses. This course is sponsored by MCFF and the primary instructors are Ron Fisher (roncharmaine@msn.com) and Ron Hildebrand (rwhcmh@imt.net).
