June 2, 2008
Program
The Over the Hill Gang
Our
club takes the summer off to go fishing so the June meeting will be
a special one, both in format and program. For some great ideas for
summer fishing, the program “The Over the Hill Gang and Beartooth
Fly Fishing” will be just the right combination of fun and
inspiration. Some wonderful country for fly fishing is right at our
back door and ready for exploration.
The evening will also include a “swap night” for you to share those
fishing items you are no longer using and find yourself some real
bargains. As a fundraiser for the club, 10% of any purchase goes to
the club and the 90% balance to the seller. Refreshments will also
be available.
In the basement, Ron Fisher and Mike Casey will be performing rod
balancing. Bring in your rods (two per person) so they can be
checked for the proper line matching your rod.
Meeting Information:
Upon
arrival at the Billings Rod & Gun Club, members and guests are asked
to register their attendance at the check in table, where
information on upcoming activities and sign-up lists are available,
and the club treasurer is present for the payment of club dues.
Raffle items are available for viewing and tickets can be
purchased. Miscellaneous items like magazines and fly tying
materials are also available at the "free stuff" table.
Meetings usually consist of a fly tying demonstration beginning at
7:00 pm, often conducted by the guest speaker for the evening's
program, followed by brief club announcements at 7:30 pm and the
introduction of the guest speaker for the evening's program. The
program concludes @8:30-8:45 pm, immediately followed by the raffle
and door prize drawings. The meeting adjourns @9:00 pm.
